Hard copy update Thanks to Angie who is publishing a newsletter for members who don't use computers. You will find the program for the first social in the north below and for Babinda's on the following week-end.

Club Socials will be held on the first Friday of each month, with the exception of July, when Betty will hold a Tully social and August, when we are hosting the ball.
Please Note: For social weeks, we will not dance on Thursday, but Friday instead.

2012 Great Northern Charity Butterfly Ball-August 11 The ball will be our major fund-raiser for the year. It is anticipated that each club participating will nominate a bracket of dances, and those dances will be led by the club's instructor on the evening. We look forward to this event and encourage the support of the region's clubs.

What is it you like about linedancing? The social aspect and an enjoyable way to exercise. It is also a good way to learn dances I can teach at school. What are your favourite dances? Oklahoma Boogie and Telepathy.
How long have you been linedancing? 6 months. How were you introduced to linedancing? Through a friend, and I have been teaching dance as part of the PE curriculum eg: Bus Stop and Nutbush (The Madison). Are you a local? I am new to the area. I moved up to Mission Beach in October, 2008. What is your occupation? Physical Education Teacher since 1998. What will you do when you retire? Go backpacking around Europe or buy a sail boat or cruiser and travel the Queensland Coast.

Tully's Class

Tully's class resumed on Australia Day, Jan 26, 7pm at the Guides' Hall. With the exception of July and August, in the first week of each month, we will dance socially on Friday night instead of Thursday. The first social was very enjoyable thanks to the great company and wonderful home cooking, not to mention the shaking the leg part. Thanks Chrystine for teaching Baby Bubbles, another feather in our caps.
